Meet Nikki Spencer

Nikki Spencer, Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator, loves being a part of the Rodgers Health family. Get to know more about Nikki and the work she does at Rodgers Health.

What Nikki loves about Rodgers Health:  I have some pretty great teammates. I love that we each bring a different talent to the table to achieve the same goal.

What brought her to Rodgers Health: The mission. Everyone deserves to be taken care of and the opportunity to make that more accessible to the communities we serve is what brought me here.

A day in the life: Each day is so different and changes by the minute. I am either in meetings with potential partner organizations, researching and planning another event for the community or the Health Center or brainstorming and implementing plans for how our patients can access care better and how we can enhance their experience at Rodgers Health.

Family: This year I will celebrate 15 years of marriage to my best friend and biggest cheerleader, Nick. We have two kids, Emily (20) and Noah (10), are Foster Parents to Alex (17), and a chocolate Lab, Maverick (6).

Outside Rodgers Health:  When I’m not at work I enjoy being a Wish Granter for the Make-A-Wish Foundation with Nick. I love, love, love the Chiefs and Royals, and really enjoy traveling. We went on our first cruise for my birthday last year and I can’t wait to do it again.

Nikki's favorite thing about Kansas City: The sports fans. The real ones. It’s great to go to a game and sit next to a total stranger and cheer, high-five and yell for the same team even when you may have nothing else in common.

Best-kept KC secret: There’s a little winery and B&B in Independence called Arbonne. It’s really cute and tucked away, but still close to the square where you can enjoy Ophelia’s Restaurant.

Best part of her job at Rodgers Health: It’s rewarding! AND, there's a tv in the lounge so I can watch Royals games during my lunch break.
