Women's Health Services
Women have special health care needs and the Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center offers a wide array of Women's Health services at several locations. We provide Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) services to women of all ages-from teens and adults, to seniors. Let our experienced, compassionate, specially trained staff of physicians, nurses and midwives take care of your health care needs.
Our services include:
- Well-women exams and wellness counseling
- Pap tests and needed pap follow-up
- Pregnancy testing
- Family planning, including birth control counseling
- Prenatal care (at our Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center Downtown Campus and Lafayette County office in Lexington, MO).
These women's health services are also available at our downtown campus, located at 825 Euclid, Kansas City, MO:
- Mammograms-we have state-of-the-art digital imaging equipment for your comfort and enhanced clarity of image
- Sonograms
- Minor gynecological procedures
- Infertility counseling
- NST or non-stress test

The Women, Infants and Children, or "WIC" program at the Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center, helps to provide healthy food and nutrition education to women and their children. You may qualify for WIC services if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or if you have an infant younger than 12 months of age, or a child or children under the age of 5. There is no cost for this service. To be eligible, you must meet income guidelines and be in need of nutritional education. Members of the Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center medical staff also provide primary health care services to residents of Sheffield Place, a shelter serving women and their children in Kansas City, Missouri. For more information about Sheffield Place, please call 816.483.9927 .
