Children's & Adolescents' Health Services
If you're looking for quality, compassionate, comprehensive medical care for the children in your life, look no further. The Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center has knowledgeable and experienced staff, working together as a team, to provide the best care possible.
We serve children - from newborns through the age of 18 - at four locations in Missouri, including Kansas City, the Northland, Clay County and Lexington. Some same-day appointments are available.
Our Children's Health Services include:
- Newborn examinations
- Well-child visits
- Physical exams
- Immunizations - your child will need shots from birth to age 18 to avoid serious diseases
- Treatment of childhood illnesses, including infections
- Childhood obesity
- Asthma
- Dental care - schedule an appointment for your child no later than 6 months after the first tooth appears and definitely before the age of 2
- WIC services (nutrition counseling and nutritious food vouchers)
- Mental health care, for children and adolescents
- Physicians are available after hours, by phone
- Pharmacy services at our Downtown Campus
- Transportation services for patients living close to the Downtown Campus
- Availability of interpreters
We provide an array of health care services for older children and the changing health care needs of your teenager, such as:
- Sports physicals
- Lab tests
- Birth control
- Imaging services (x-rays)
- Health counseling
The Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center Downtown Campus has a dedicated staff of language interpreters on-site to serve patients who speak languages other than English. We are equipped to provide interpretive services for virtually any language needed at any of our locations.
We also have a broad referral network of health care providers, should additional specialized medical help be needed.
