On March 27th, the Hall Family Foundation has pledged $1
million in funding toward the Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center’s Capital
Campaign.
“This is wonderful news,” said Lucinda Noches Talbert, the Health
Center’s Director of Development. “The Hall Family Foundation is well
known in the community for making lead gifts to capital campaigns. This
pledge is a good indicator that contributions from other local
foundations and private businesses may follow.”
The Hall Family Foundation’s Board of Directors stated it was pleased at
the progress the Health Center has made in solidifying its financial
position during the last two years.
The Health Center has also received pledges of $50,000 from
Sprint/Nextel, $250,000 from Blue Cross Blue Shield, $303,000 from a
Federal Appropriation, and $21,500 from Health Center employees. The
State of Missouri appropriated $11.5 million to the Health Center for
capital improvements in 2007.
